Maria Daines: MUSIC
YOU ARE ON OUR SIDE
(Maria Daines/Paul Killington)
10 years ago Bullies in Need was born, I never for one minute thought that it would develop into what it has become now, quite frankly it has grown out of all recognition from the early days.
Since 2002 we have helped many dogs of various breeds and have had many helpers. Some have even lasted the course and are still with us from the beginning! I would like to thank everyone who has helped B.I.N become the rescue that it is today, we have been through a lot, some happy times and some sad and difficult times, but all the experiences have helped us to develop into what we have become today. None of this would have been possible without the team of volunteers that support us. I am so grateful that you are on our side and with that thought in mind I would like to dedicate this wonderful song, written and performed by Maria and Paul, to you all with my heartfelt thanks, you are all bullie angels.
I must also thank Maria and Paul for their time and effort in creating this song for us, bless you for your tireless work in helping animals.

'You Are On Our Side'
Thank you for saving me
I had nowhere else to go
No one understood me
Hold me where I need to be
In the grace of your good hands
Always be near me
I was the one in need
The one without a home
Tired and bleeding
This is a long road to peace
And this is a long road to freedom
They think I'm so dumb for I can't speak
But you are here for me...
Time is a lonely place
When you're waiting for a love
The eyes who truly see you
We are the ones who wait
For an angel in the storm
The one who will need you
The best friends we long to be
Full of loyalty and pride
Just let us show you
So we will thank you with the love in our eyes
For you bring the light, hope and care into our lives
When all is never said and the work is never done
You are on our side...
