DOGS IN DANGER.COM: DogsInDanger.com is an award winning web site owned and operated by The Buddy Fund Inc. and was founded by two dog lovers, Alex Aliksanyan & Brenda Bush, both directors of The Buddy Fund. The website was launched in October 2007 with the goal of getting as many of these dogs adopted into loving homes as possible, before their time runs out; and raising awareness of the number of dogs being killed in shelters. The co-founders dedicated their respective skills, The Buddy Fund provided the funding, and the shelters listed the dogs. Dog Welfare & Rescue Info UK

ONCE LOVED RESCUE: Helping abandoned dogs to find permanent loving homes. Once Loved Dog Rescue was set up to help provide care, shelter and permanent homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs. Our work is mainly rescuing and rehoming ex pound dogs. We are run entirely voluntarily. The areas we cover are primarily Devon and Somerset. The rescue is based in Sidmouth, Devon, between Exeter and Honiton. As we are a small rescue, we like to keep homes as local as possible for home checking purposes. We will, however, consider rehoming to other areas.
BIRCH HILL DOG RESCUE: Our first rescue dog was adopted by us 20 years ago now and this led to an involvement with the rescue side and consequently to buying our own kennels. Over the years this has gone from 20% rescue dog intake to 90%. We have been involved with several rescue charities over the years - the Animal Samaritans, Border Collie Rescue, Forest Dog Rescue and occasionally, the R.S.P.C.A. Also for the last few years, we have been the dog warden and pound for South Shropshire Council. For the first 7 days the stray dogs would be cared for at our kennels and funded by the Council. After this time, if the owner didn't come forward to reclaim their dog then it would be put up for adoption. From this moment on we would fund their care from our own pockets with no public support. HULL ANIMAL WELFARE TRUST: The Hull Animal Welfare Trust was established in 1982 and in the subsequent years has re homed tens of thousands of animals. These are dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals. It also incorporates the famous Hull Hedgehog Hospital. Serving the Hull and East Riding area, the Trust is based at Sunnydene Animal Shelter and relies on a loyal and committed band of volunteers to execute a wide variety of tasks. We receive no formal assistance and rely on donations, fundraising and practical help to carry out this fabulous and vital work.
THE MAYHEW ANIMAL HOME: The Mayhew Animal Home has a vision of a world where all companion animals are wanted. We aim to set the standards in animal welfare. The Mayhew offers a wide variety of community services providing advice, care and assistance to animals and their carers whatever their circumstances and strives to tackle the companion animal welfare crisis from every possible angle.
ROCHDALE DOG RESCUE: Rochdale Dog Rescue works every week to find responsible rescue places for dogs in a Northern Pound in the UK that are due to be put to sleep if not claimed after 7 days. The pound that we work with are one of the few pounds that are willing to work closely with us as a rescue. They too work hard to save these dogs from being put to sleep by providing Rochdale Dog Rescue with photographs, information about the dogs and constant updates. Few people realise that many healthy dogs, through no fault of their own, are being destroyed if not claimed within the week.
ALL DOGS MATTER: We are a voluntary rescue based in London. We rescue and rehome dogs who are abandoned or in need of a new home because their owners can no longer keep them. When new dogs come to us, we assess them and put them into experienced foster homes. All our dogs are veterinary checked, vaccinated, neutered/spayed, microchipped, de-flead and wormed prior to rehoming. Because of limited funds, we only carry out basic health checks - for example we do no x-ray for joint conditions. However we will not, to the best of our knowledge, rehome a sick or unhealthy dog.
BULLIES IN NEED: Our aim is to help Bull Terriers who, for whatever reason, are not as fortunate as the majority of our beloved pets that live as part of our families.

COMPANY OF ANIMALS: Way back in 1984 Dr Roger Mugford, (now a world renowned animal psychologist), founded The Company of Animals as a vehicle to sell his inventions. One of the key and unique advantages of The Company of Animals is that it has its own Training and Behaviour Centre, which was also founded by Roger in 1979. The Behaviour Centre is one of the best in the country and specialises in all levels of dog training, behaviour consultations to treat aggressive dogs, as well as resolving legal issues about pets, in and out of court. This gives The Company Of Animals the unique advantage of being able to constantly research and develop new products that help resolve pet-related behaviour and training problems, as well as having a great base in which to test new designs and principals of animal training.
WALKERS CREEK RESCUE: We aim to rescue, and rehome dogs in and around Cambridgeshire, and surrounding areas. Most of the dogs that come into our care are either last chance, lost, abandoned or in worse cases, due to be PTS (put to sleep). Time after time there are many cases of people taking on dogs, without a true understanding of the responsibility required to care for the animal. With this in mind, there are endless numbers of dogs in need of a new home, due to their previous home giving up on them. Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances.

NIGHT AT THE DOGS: The sheer scale of the cruelty within the Greyhound racing industry is immense and when you place a bet on a race you are in effect saying that you don't mind about what is happening to these loving, trusting dogs. More than that, you are actually playing your part in supporting it by your financial investment. It may only be a few pounds or dollars but it is your personal investment in suffering and death.
NORTHERN GREYHOUND RESCUE: Nothern Greyhound Rescue is a small voluntary group in the North West/Lancashire area dedicated to improving the lives of Greyhounds and Lurchers. Other Sighthounds may on occasion come into our care. Permanent and foster homes are always needed for the dogs.
GALGO SUPPORT HOLLAND: GalgoSupportHolland wishes to dedicate help to all the neglected and abused galgo's. We want to help the Spanish volunteers, their shelters and foster homes. We also want to help other dogs they have saved that need help. Through various actions like collection of supplies, organizing walks, promotion and information, sale of articles, cooperation with organizations, etc., we offer hope by giving a helping hand to reach our goal. We are receptive to all ideas that benefit our goal.
DOG RESCUE IRELAND: Dog Rescue is a Voluntary Irish Animal Charity run by Bernie Wright. It is dedicated to rescuing and re-homing unwanted, abandoned Irish Greyhounds and dogs. Every dog has a right to life and no healthy dog will ever be destroyed while under 'Dog Rescue' care.
GREYHOUND RESCUE WALES: Greyhound Rescue Wales began in 1993 with a small group of people trying to rescue Greyhounds and Lurchers in the Swansea area. Over the next few years the organisation grew quickly and attracted support from many parts of Wales. Greyhound Rescue Wales became a registered charity in 1996 when it became able to cover the whole of Wales. Over 1,500 greyhounds and lurchers have since been found permanent homes.
GREY2K USA: GREY2K USA is a very successful national, non-profit organization dedicated to ending cruelty to Greyhounds. They are a network of humane-minded citizens who work to pass stronger dog protection laws and close down existing greyhound racetracks. They also offer adoption referral information to help the thousands of dogs still racing.
GREYHOUND COMPASSION: Greyhound Compassion supports small greyhound rescue organisations in Ireland, UK and Spain by raising funds for the greyhounds in their care and providing practical help where possible.
